My name is Katie Showalter and I am a junior at Western Plains High School. I am the oldest of five children and we live on a farm 5 miles south of Alexander. Alexander is about 45 minutes from the town of Ransom where I go to school. I play volleyball and basketball in school and play on coed softball teams in the summer. I participate in track, cheerleading, scholar's bowl, the school newspaper, band, vocal, and have played piano for 7 years. I am president of our school's KAY club and vice president of both the FFA and FBLA chapters.
My favorite subject in school is American History. I also really enjoy all areas of science and music. My favorite sport to play by far is basketball. I also like to coach grade school and junior high softball. (The junior high coed team I coached this summer took second at the Ness City tournament!) I like to play piano and I teach my little sister the basics of reading music whenever I get the chance. My brother is playing football with LaCrosse this year and I am extremely excited to watch his first game. This blog is pretty rambly (which is a word, I looked it up) but it is the first one I have ever written and I'm not totally for sure what I am supposed to talk about. So if this is graded for grammar and writing and such then please disregard the last few sentences because they have absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the blog. Thanks! :)

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your blog. It sounds like you are a very active person in your school and participate in many things! You must be busy all the time! I too play sports, baseball is my favorite though. It sounds like you must be a good coach if you won your tournament! I enjoyed reading your post. Keep up the good work!
